Pastor Eric and Magda are excited as they begin serving the Lord at Buena Vista in July 2022. They were married in June 1999 after Pastor Eric met Magda traveling to Romania on a Missions Trip. They have three children, Rachel 18, Sophia, 14, and Andrew 11. Pastor Eric pursued an education in science for many years, earning various degrees, including a Masters Degree in Entomology (Insects). After travelling to Romania he began to feel the call to ministry and started pursuing becoming a pastor. He has earned a Masters Degree and Doctorate Degree in Theology and a DMin. in Ministry. After serving for 18 years at Alive Wesleyan Church, they are excited about this new adventure at Buena Vista.
Pastor Eric enjoys baseball, weightlifting, astronomy, and reading lots books. As a family they enjoy spending lots of time together, going to waterparks, the beach, and look forward to hopefully visiting Romania and family during the summers.

Pastor Peter and Pastor Nicki Maclauchlan, Pastor of Youth
Email:youth@bvwesleyan.com
Pastor Pete was born into the urban wilderness of Rochester, NY, but spent his childhood
moving all around Central NY, eventually settling down in the Horseheads/Elmira area. Through the Horseheads Community Wesleyan Church, Pastor Pete came to meet Jesus, a loving church family, and eventually his wife, Nicki. His involvement in the church youth ministry and Chambers Camp, led Pastor Pete to realize and accept God’s call into ministry.
Pastor Pete graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2005 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Christian Ministries, with a Biblical Literature Minor and emphasis in Worship. Pete and Nicki married soon after in July 2005, and now have 4 lively daughters: Bella (15), Lily (12), Olivia (12), and Emilia (9). Pastor Pete has served as a youth pastor in Kalamazoo, Michigan for 4 years and as assistant pastor in Horseheads, NY for 6 years, but most recently served as the lead pastor of Avon Wesleyan Church for 7 years. Pastor Pete enjoys almost any sport, fishing, hiking, music, learning how to build and fix things with his hands, reading, listening to podcasts, adventuring, coffee, chocolate chip cookies, connecting with new and old friends, and spending time with his family.
Favorite Bible Verse: John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. If you remain in me and I
in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
Pastor Nicki has been in ministry with Pastor Pete for 18 years. As a teenager, Nicki felt the call to full-time ministry and God has continued to confirm that calling through vocational ministry, on each step of her journey. She has served as a Ministry Director or Part-time Pastor in their previous churches and is looking forward to continuing to work alongside her husband as they share this Youth/Assistant Pastoral Ministry position.
Nicki holds a B.S. in Biblical Studies from Indiana Wesleyan University, is a facilitator with SYMBIS, and was recently ordained as a minister in The Wesleyan Church. Nicki has a love for God and a deep desire to see people reconciled to Him, as well as to one another. She is passionate about discipleship, counseling, and authenticity within the church.
Pastor Nicki enjoys singing, crafting, coffee, soft-serve ice cream, playing games, and being with people!
She and Pete have four beautiful daughters, 4 geckos, a chinchilla, a bunny, and a dog. They are a musical family and love to have fun!

Favorite Bible Verse: Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
